India-US interim trade deal 99% complete, likely to be signed soon

India and the United States are close to finalising an interim trade agreement, with negotiations 99% complete, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said. He expressed confidence that the deal could be signed in the coming weeks. A US delegation led by the country's chief trade negotiator is expected to visit India from June 1 to 4 to advance discussions.
