India-US sign pact to secure critical minerals, rare earth supplies

India and the US have signed a bilateral framework to secure supplies of critical minerals and rare earths. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said the pact will deepen cooperation across the entire supply chain, including mining, processing, recycling and related investments. Critical minerals and rare earths are essential for advanced technologies such as AI, robotics and batteries.
