India uses light particles to test unhackable quantum communication over 5.5 km
India beamed light particles, 'photons', to test a Quantum Key Distribution link over 5.56 km between BISAG-N and IIT Gandhinagar. Using QNu Labs' tech, the system sent unhackable, single-photon light beams through open air, achieving hack-proof security by integrating with the indigenous "Vedic Kavach" software. This paves the way for ISRO's future satellite-based quantum communications.
