India will become AI use-case capital of the world, not chip capital: Nandan Nilekani

Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani said India will become the world's AI use-case capital than a semiconductor chip hub. "Western focus on AI is on infrastructure...larger models, more chips, more data centres," he said. Nilekani added that infrastructure would become commoditised and "value will shift to application layer", where India's scale and digital ecosystem offer advantage globally.
