India will become vishwa guru by 2047: President Droupadi Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu said that India would become 'vishwa guru' (global leader) by the time it celebrated the centenary of its independence in 2047. "People of India have such energy...everyone is marching...to take India forward," said President Murmu. She added that there is a need to bridge gaps so every Indian can step into the new and developed India.
