India won all the four matches in chess in Round 1 of Asian Games 2022. Vidit Gujrathi defeated Bangladesh's Mohammad Fahad while Arjun Erigiasi won the match against Paulo Bersamina who hails from Philippines in men's individual matches. Koneru Humpy won the match against Iran's Mobina Alinasabalamdari while Harika Dronavalli defeated UAE's Rouda Alali in women's individual matches.
