India win gold medal in lawn bowls for the first time in Commonwealth Games history

India on Tuesday won their first-ever gold medal in lawn bowls in the history of Commonwealth Games (CWG). India's Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Nayanmoni Saikia and Rupa Rani Tirkey defeated the South African team 17-10 in the final of women's fours event to clinch the gold medal. India have now bagged four gold medals at CWG 2022 so far.
