India-Bhutan border gates reopen for tourists after 2.5 years

The India-Bhutan border gates in Assam were reopened for tourists on Friday after two and a half years, an official said. The border gates, which were closed amid the coronavirus pandemic, have been reopened with some new rules along with a sustainable development fee, the official added. The gates will stay open between 9 am and 5 pm.
