India-made mRNA booster vaccine for Omicron variant to be available at ₹2,292

India's first indigenously developed mRNA vaccine against the COVID-19 Omicron variant, Gemcovac-OM, will cost ₹2,292/dose and will be available in private hospitals. Union Minister Jitendra Singh launched the mRNA booster vaccine, which received emergency use authorisation from the DCGI. Notably, this vaccine is delivered intra-dermally using a needle-free injection device system.
