Indian Army eases social media rules, allows passive use

The Indian Army has revised its social media policy to permit “passive participation” by personnel. Soldiers may now view content on platforms such as X, Instagram and YouTube but remain barred from posting, commenting or messaging. Uploading user-generated content, posting messages or any form of active participation is strictly prohibited.
