Indian baby with rare genetic disorder got ₹16 crore injection for free from US firm

A baby from Maharashtra who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) was given a ₹16 crore life-saving injection by a US firm for free after winning a lucky draw. Shivraj Daware's parents said he's first Indian SMA patient to get Zolgensma through a lucky draw. He was administered the injection in January 2021.
