Indian billionaire Shetty resigns from UAE's biggest hospital company he founded

Indian billionaire BR Shetty has resigned as the Co-Chairman of UAE's biggest hospital operator NMC Health, which he founded in 1975. The exit comes after NMC disclosed that the 77-year-old had misstated the size of his stake. NMC's London-listed shares have lost about 70% of their value since December when US-based short-seller Muddy Waters questioned the company's financial statements.
