Indian cities are going to get hotter for longer in the future

Major urban areas across India are facing extreme heat events as global temperatures rise. Researchers from IIT Roorkee, IIT Jammu, and NIH Roorkee wanted to predict future climate scenarios. They show that future heatwaves will linger much longer, posing severe risks to public health. The northwestern, northern, and eastern coastal regions are projected to experience the highest heat.
