Indian Coast Guard commissions fast patrol vessel 'Achal'

India commissioned the fast patrol vessel (FPV) 'Achal' on Saturday into the Indian Coast Guard. The new-generation Adamya-class FPV was commissioned into the force at Goa Shipyard and will be stationed at Gujarat's Vadinar under the operational control of Commander, Coast Guard Region (North West). Commandant Naveen Kumar will command the ship, which is made using 50% indigenous materials.
