Indian companies garnered ₹8.7 lakh crore from markets in 2019

Indian companies garnered ₹8.7 lakh crore from domestic and overseas markets in 2019, up 20% from the previous year, according to data compiled by Prime Database. Debt instruments remained the most preferred route for financing business needs this year. Out of the cumulative ₹8.7 lakh crore garnered this year, over ₹6.2 lakh crore was raised from the Indian debt market.
