Indian companies sanctioned by US are not in violation of Indian laws: MEA

After US sanctioned 19 Indian companies for providing dual-use technologies to Russia, MEA said, "Our understanding is that the sanctioned transactions and companies aren't in violation of Indian laws." MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "We're working...to sensitise Indian companies on applicable export control provisions." The MEA is also in touch with the US to clarify issues, he added.
