Indian doctor conferred 'Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays' by Japan

Indian doctor Thangjam Dhabali Singh has been conferred the 'Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays' by Japan for promoting friendship between Japan and India. Dr Singh recognizes the importance of preserving the memories of the Battle of Imphal that took place between Japan and the British forces during World War II, the Japanese Embassy in India said.
