Indian Embassy in US reacts to queries on suspension of Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan

Indian Embassy in US has reacted to media queries regarding India's decision to suspend Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan. "[The treaty] was concluded...in a spirit of...friendship in 1960. Pakistan through its...state-sponsored terrorism...against India has corroded this spirit. India cannot be expected to continue to cooperate with a country...responsible for killing innocent civilians," it said.
