Indian Energy Exchange power volume climbs near 8%

Indian Energy Exchange recorded a monthly electricity traded volume of 13,527 million units in July showing 7.7% year-on-year growth. Rising domestic temperatures pushed day-ahead market (DAM) buy bids up by 42.5%. Average market clearing prices inside the spot cash segment jumped 19.3% annually to ₹4.99 per unit.
