Indian equity market hits $4 trillion-mark for first time

The combined market valuation of all listed companies on the BSE reached the $4-trillion milestone for the first time on Wednesday. At the time of writing, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading over 670 points up at 66,847. The other markets valued more than $4 trillion in m-cap include the US, China, Japan and Hong Kong.
