Indian football team achieves best FIFA ranking in 21 years

The Indian football team reached the 96th spot, its best ever FIFA ranking in 21 years and its second best overall. The Indian football team is currently placed 12th in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) rankings. Notably, the Indian football team's best ever FIFA national team ranking till date stays 94 which was attained in February 1996.
