Indian households lose ₹12.6 lakh crore in 3 months amid West Asia war

Indian households lost nearly ₹12.6 lakh crore in equity holdings during the March quarter, according to estimates in the NSE Market Pulse report. The decline came amid tensions in West Asia, surging oil prices and sustained foreign investor selling. However, cumulative household wealth creation since April 2020 remained substantial at around ₹44 lakh crore, the report added.
