Indian institute builds drone to track heatwaves and pollution

India's National Institute of Ocean Technology has built a drone to track heatwaves, pollution and sudden weather changes before it intensifies on the ground. The institute said the high-altitude weather drone was successfully tested along Pamanji coast in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. The drone recorded AQI parameters, air pollution levels and weather datasets important for climate research.
