Indian killed in attack on oil ship by Iran was engineer from Mumbai

Mumbai resident Devanandan Prasad Singh, serving as the Additional Chief Engineer (Superintendent) aboard the US-owned oil tanker Safesea Vishnu, died on Wednesday following Iran's attack on the vessel near Iraq. Singh, who was in his mid-50s, is survived by his wife and two children. Fifteen other Indians were rescued from the burning vessel.
