Indian man sentenced to 8 yrs for crashing truck near White House

Indian national Sai Varshith Kandula was sentenced to eight years in prison for an attempted attack on White House in May 2023. The 20-year-old had crashed a rented truck into the barriers protecting the White House and the President's Park. "He wanted to eliminate the democratic process in America and replace the government with a Nazi-style dictatorship," the prosecutors wrote.
