Indian mills contract to export 2.2mn tonnes of sugar: Trade body

The All India Sugar Trade Association has said Indian sugar mills have contracted to export 2.2 million tonnes of sugar since the current marketing season began on October 1. Top importers of India's sugar include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Somalia, it added. The Cabinet had approved incentives to encourage mills to export at least 5 million tonnes of sugar this season.
