Indian Navy invites firms to build indigenous 80mm rockets

The Indian Navy has invited domestic defence companies to develop and manufacture indigenous 80mm aero rockets for its MiG-29K fighter aircraft. The move aims to reduce dependence on imported ammunition and strengthen defence self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The Navy plans to procure live and practice rockets after successful development and testing of the indigenous system.
