Indian Navy to induct final imported warship, Tamal

The Indian Navy will induct Tamal, a stealth frigate built in Russia, by June, marking India’s final warship import as it shifts to domestic production. The commissioning crew has arrived in St. Petersburg for training. Built under a 2016 India-Russia deal, two ships are imported, while two are being made at Goa Shipyard under technology transfer.
