Indian openers share 300-run partnership for third time in Test history

Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal shared a 317-run partnership in first innings of the first Test against South Africa, marking the third time that Indian openers recorded a 300-run stand in Tests. Pankaj Roy and Vinoo Mankad had shared a 413-run stand against New Zealand in 1956, while Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid registered 410 runs against Pakistan in 2006.
