Indian-origin man who beat partner to death gets life term in UK

A 50-year-old Indian-origin man who beat up his girlfriend to death at his home in UK, has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Police described it as a case of domestic abuse. The couple had been in a relationship for around five months and by the time emergency services were called to his home, the victim, Tarnjeet Riaz, was already dead.
