Indian-origin man who saved 20 people during Bondi Beach attack granted Australian residency

An Indian-origin man, Rehmat Pasha, who risked his life to save nearly 20 people during 2025 Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, was granted permanent residency in Australia. The cap he wore while rescuing people will be displayed at Sydney Museum. Two Pakistan-origin gunmen, Naveed Akram and his father Sajid Akram, opened fire at a Jewish celebration on the beach.
