Indian-origin MP Arya raises 'Om' flag outside Canadian Parliament

Indian-origin Canadian MP Chandra Arya raised an 'Om' flag at Canada's Parliament Hill to mark the beginning of the Hindu Heritage Month in November. "While we Hindus are punching above our weight in every sector...we are underrepresented in...political sphere," he wrote on X. This comes after Canadian Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre cancelled Diwali celebrations scheduled at Parliament Hill.
