Indian-origin Navanethem 'Navi' Pillay awarded Nobel Peace Prize

Indian-origin South African jurist Navanethem 'Navi' Pillay was awarded Nobel Peace Prize on Friday. She was chosen from 287 candidates, including 208 individuals and 79 organisations. Pillay was praised for her efforts to promote peace and international law. Notably, US President Donald Trump had pitched for the award, saying, "No president probably ever settled any wars...I settled eight wars."
