Indian-origin Nithya Raman set to make history as LA's 1st Asian-American mayor

Indian-origin politician Nithya Raman has been projected to win the Los Angeles mayoral race, defeating incumbent Karen Bass, per Decision Desk HQ. Raman secured 51.1% of the vote against Bass's 48.33%. If confirmed, the Kerala-born, Harvard-educated politician would become LA's first Asian American mayor ahead of the city's 2028 Olympics.
