Indian-origin physicist Jainendra Jain wins Wolf Prize in Physics

Indian-origin physicist Jainendra K Jain won the Wolf Prize in Physics for his discovery of composite fermions, which could transform the understanding of quantum matter. Jain was presented the award on June 18 by Israeli President Isaac Herzog at a state ceremony in Jerusalem. The prize has been awarded annually by the Wolf Foundation in Israel since 1978.
