Indian-origin trucker gets nearly 5 yrs in jail for deadly crash that killed 3 in US

Jashanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old Indian-origin truck driver and an illegal immigrant in the US, has been sentenced to four years and eight months in a state prison for causing a deadly eight-vehicle crash on an Ontario freeway. The collision, which occurred in October 2025, killed three people and injured four others after Singh failed to brake in slowing traffic.
