Indian-origin woman, living in US for 27 yrs with Green Card, detained by ICE

Venkata Narsamamba Vasamsetty, an Indian-origin woman who has lived in the US for 27 years and holds a Green Card, has been detained by ICE despite an immigration judge dismissing her deportation case in May. The US government had alleged she abandoned her permanent residency after spending about seven months in India in 2022 while caring for her ailing parent.
