Indian-origin worker saves child from drowning, gets honorary citizenship in Romania

An Indian-origin construction worker, Vipan Kumar, was awarded honorary citizenship of Romania's Craiova city for saving a five-year-old girl who fell into a frozen lake in January. Vipan held the girl above the water's freezing surface for around 30 minutes until firefighters arrived. Vipan had jumped into the water after seeing the girl while walking in the park.
