Indian Overseas Bank gets ₹559 cr tax notice from IT Dept

Indian Overseas Bank has received a ₹558.96 crore tax demand from the Income Tax Department for assessment year 2023–24. The bank plans to appeal the notice, citing strong legal grounds and expecting full relief. IOB confirmed there is no financial or operational impact due to the notice, as per its regulatory filing on March 25.
