Indian power plants face blackout risk as 107 plants left with 5 days' coal
More than half (107) of India's 191 monitored thermal power stations were operating with five days or less of coal stock as of October 7. While 69 stations held 6-15 days of stock, only 15 had supplies for over 15 days. Government said supplies were stabilising, with daily deliveries up 36% from September’s low and October supplies averaging 9% higher.
