Indian professor Deepak Dhar wins eminent Dirac Medal for physics
Indian professor Deepak Dhar, one of the country's most respected physicists, was awarded the 2026 Dirac Medal by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics. The award was established in 1985 and has been associated with scientists like astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. Dhar was born in Uttar Pradesh and served as a teaching assistant to legendary physicist Richard Feynman in California.
