Indian Railways adds 1200 e-freight loco manufacturing capacity

Indian Railways has taken a major leap in freight mobility with the launch of the loco manufacturing shop at the Rolling Stock Workshop in Dahod, Gujarat. The facility has a capacity 1,200 electric freight locomotives with a powerful 9000 HP capacity. These locomotives are equipped with advanced IGBT-based propulsion technology, ensuring superior energy efficiency and operational performance.
