Indian railways allows pregnant women to book lower berth online

In a relief to pregnant women passengers, the Railway Board has allowed lower berths to be allotted to them through online bookings as well. Until now, pregnant women could avail themselves of this facility only when booking tickets offline at railway counters. The board has asked Centre for Railway Information Systems and IRCTC to modify online ticket booking portals accordingly.
