Indian rupee, bond prices rise after Mahayuti's win in Maha polls
The Indian rupee surged to 84.37 against the US dollar on Monday after BJP-led Mahayuti Alliance's landslide win in Maharashtra assembly polls. The currency had closed at 84.46 in the previous trading session. The 10-year benchmark yield opened at 6.8268%, down from 6.8710% in the previous session, which implies a higher bond price.
