Indian sailor missing after ship attack near Oman confirmed dead

Heramb Karmarkar, an Indian national who went missing after an attack on a commercial vessel near Oman's coast, was confirmed dead by his family on Wednesday. Iran said it targeted the ship after it attempted to pass through an unauthorised route despite warnings to alter its course. Karmarkar is the second Indian seafarer killed in the region within three days.
