Indian solar firms' shares fall up to 15% after US puts 126% initial import duty
The US's preliminary 126% countervailing duty on solar cells and modules imported from India prompted sharp sell-offs in shares of Indian solar manufacturers. The shares of Waaree Energies dropped nearly 454 points or 15% in intraday trading, while the shares of Premier Energies also fell approximately 14%. Vikram Solar's shares also plunged by almost 7.5%.
