Indian stock market opens in green despite Asian market fall
The Indian stock market opened higher on Tuesday, with Sensex rising 218.94 points to 78,504.01 and the Nifty 50 trading at 24,464.45. Domestic equities advanced despite weakness across Asian markets. South Korea's KOSPI fell 7% and Japan's Nikkei 225 traded marginally lower. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures traded at 23,571, below the benchmark's previous close of 23,616.32.
