Indian student accused of defrauding elderly in Rhode Island, held

Samyag Uday Doshi, a 25-year-old Indian man residing in the US on a student visa, was accused of defrauding senior citizens in Rhode Island. Arrested in November while collecting $45,000 from an elderly victim, he admitted to making four to five pickups for money. Investigators believe he served as a middleman, reporting to someone he thought was in India.
