Indian weightlifter Ajaya Babu lifts a total of 330 kg, misses gold at CWG by just 1 kg

India's Ajaya Babu Valluri won silver in the men's 79 kg weightlifting event at Commonwealth (CWG) Games 2026, missing gold by just 1 kg. He lifted 149 kg in snatch and 181 kg in clean and jerk for a combined total of 330 kg. Malaysia's Erry Hidayat Muhammad claimed gold with a combined lift of 331 kg in Glasgow.
