Indian youths rank 60th in 84-country mental health study
In a global mental health study, Indian youth ranked 60th among 84 countries. The 2025 report by US-based Sapien Labs found those aged 18-34 scored poorly, with an average MHQ of around 33, classified as “Distressed or Struggling”. They also fared worse than Indians above 55, who ranked 49th in overall mental well-being.
